Our House Brand Beeswax
Beeswax is not only a traditional finish, but it is also the best way to lubricate your planes. Before you use a plane you should always make sure that the sole is well waxed. With metal planes it will make them easier to push and with wooden planes it can keep you from ruining them. I have seen too many molding planes that were ruined because the sole was not waxed before use. We have a Pennsylvania bee keeper that we know cast us cones of beeswax. The cone shaped beeswax lends itself to rubbing into the delicate curves of a of molding plane sole. If you just want this wax to make a traditional finish, you won't find a better grade of wax than ours.
All Natural Beeswax
Our beeswax is a very pure grade of beeswax, harvested in North West Pennsylvania on a family farm where they still care about what they do.
