Nicholson Cabinet Files and Rasps

Quality cabinet files and rasps are essentials tool of the tradtional woodworker. Hand-cut rasps are much more expensive than machine made rasps, but the performance is so superior that it well worth the extra cost. The first time I used a Nicholson #49 rasp, I thought I was dreaming, it worked so well. Hand-cut rasps can remove stock very quickly while leaving the surface much smoother than you would expect.

Nicholson Hand-Cut Rasps

The rasp is pictured with a Lutz handle installed. We include a Lutz handle free of charge with every Nicholson rasp sold. We also sell the Lutz file handles & cleaners separately (see the Lutz page). Lutz handles are made in the USA with native birch and are of the best quality.
